In anticipation of the last scheduled Leonard Cohen World Tour concert in Las Vegas on Dec 11, 2010, this video asks Leonard Cohen the musical question, “Won’t you stay a little bit longer?”  From Dear Leonard Cohen – What If We Say Please?

I placed my hand upon her thigh. By the way she moved away I could see her devotion to literature was not perfect.

It Ain’t Over Till The Svelte Guy With The Fedora Sings … In Las Vegas
After three years of sold out concerts, standing ovations, reviews that read like advertisements, and the accumulation of beaucoup bucks to replace a dozen times over the looted retirement fund that was the starting point for what has become a triumph of  music and spirit,  the Leonard Cohen World Tour featuring Leonard Cohen and The Unified Heart Touring Company is scheduled to end with the finale of the December 11, 2010 Las Vegas Concert.
Now, fans have an opportunity to express their thanks to Leonard Cohen and to his troupe for the Tour’s 200+ concerts given by a music legend that no one – including Mr. Music Legend himself -  believed would take place.
Marie, webmaster extraordinaire of the astonishingly informative Speaking Cohen site, has invited GoodCleanWholesomeFun and Heck Of A Guy readers to participate in Thank You, Leonard Cohen:
Leonard’s tour will be coming to an end in just a few short weeks. We know this won’t be goodbye. Leonard will be working to produce some new material for us and who knows, perhaps we will have a chance to witness the magic of a Leonard Cohen concert again. But before this tour ends, we have an opportunity to say thank you.
Would you please tell your readers that they are welcome to sign a thank you card for Leonard telling him what his tour has meant to them. They can visit either of these sites for details:
Thank You, Leonard Cohen (English)Thank You, Leonard Cohen (French)
They will also find links for thank you cards for each band member on these webpages so your readers can tell the band how special they are.
The covers of each card are just placeholders. We are working on a smashing design for each card.
Thank you, Allan, and all your readers for supporting Leonard and his band.

The Cock Book by Brigid Berlin: Brigid Berlin, one of Andy Warhol’s designated superstars, compiled this volume by convincing contributers, including, among others, Jasper Johns, Dennis Hopper, and Jane Fonda, to enter his or her rendition of a penis in the pages of the collection. Leonard Cohen opted out of drawing a cock, instead writing “let me be the shy one in your book”.
Brigid’s “Cock Book” recently sold for $175,000 to artist Richard Prince.

Leonard Cohen, perhaps rehearsing for Halloween

We all have a sense of a truth. The truth can be the most intimate conversation with one’s heart about its desire and appetite. And when this conversation appears, it comes very close to the truth and a feeling of authenticity. But I don’t imagine to have a metaphysic system without contradictions, and I don’t think this is the poet’s nor the songwriter’s duty. In one of the songs I start by saying: ‘I smile when I’m angry. / I cheat and I lie. / I do what I have to do / to get by. / But I know what is wrong. / And I know what is right. / And I’d die for the truth / In My Secret Life.’ To be understood in the way that you can deceive everybody but yourself. This is the truth viewed in a simple, pragmatic and ordinary way, but it isn’t the great truth of our existence. I can’t control that.
